Glamour and Glitz

The challenge over at saturated canary this time is glamour n glitz and as my collection of these FAB digistamps is now quite considerable and most of them are very glam I was a bit spoilt for choice lol!
Before I post this I must apologise for the quality of my pics- don't know whats wrong with my camera!!!

I started out with the fab saturated canary stamp which I coloured with my promarkers. It was cut out with a spellbinder die and matted onto textured silver card. The backing paper was from my stash- free from a mag! I cut round some of the elements with a craft knife and slotted my image underneath it. I used a printed tag sentiment and added a silver ribbon then the whole thing was finished with lots of glitter and some sparkly stones!

Thanx for visiting and I promise I'll try and replace the pics for better ones as soon as I sort my camera out!!!    Lotz of hugz, Jayne xxxxx
<3  Replaced - much better now ! lol.

Through My Mask

My latest project for Splodgeaway is showcased on the blog today, using different mediums and masks.

I created the background by dry-brushing acrylic paint and covering it with a dye-based wash which gave a 'worn' look. On top of this I layered distress ink through a flower border mask and outlined it with white gel pen and finished it with snowtex coloured with reinker squished through the dot the lot mask. This overpowered the piece a little so when it was dry I sanded some of it back.
The main image was stamped onto a book page and coloured with coloured pencils to give a soft hint of colour and the rest of the images were stamped with sepia ink to give an overall impression of 'vintage worn'.

A closer look at the texture.

I love experimenting with different mediums through my masks - the only problem is I sometimes forget to stop!!!
Thanx for stopping by and taking a look. Why not have a peek on the Splodgeaway blog n see what the rest of the fab DT have been up to here ? Hugz, Jayne xxxxx

Pink n Lemon

Hi all. Well I've had a really busy week last week n didn't manage to do any blogging or even any crafting for the whole week!!   :(    I'm trying to catch up but it's far too hot to hurry lol.
I haven't entered any of the Kenny K challenges for ages and as I had an order for a sweet 16th card I decided to combine the 2!
The challenge theme is Lemonade sale - a photo inspiration which was basically shades of pink n lemon. Here's my take on it

The image is Mae Western from Kenny K. I love her as she seems to have so much attitude !!!
The background was created with various papers from my stash and the sentiments from lili of the valley.

A close up of the lovely Mae whom I coloured with my promarkers, adding touches of foiling to finish.
Thanx for stopping by. Hugz, Jayne xxxx

Monday 1 July 2013

2nd post of the day I'm on a roll! :)

Thought I'd better post my card I made for the I <3 promarkers challenge before I ran out of time !!! The theme this weeks a colour combo 'pink n blue'
I used a sweet Saturated Canary image for this. Love it - soooo girly!
I layered up various pink n blue patterned papers from my stash for the background and did a bit of faux stitching around some of it with sakura sparkle pans.

I die-cut my image and coloured it with promarkers and added fine ribbon which I threaded through the holes on the left hand side. A bow and a sentiment from Papermania added the finishing touches.
I like the 'clean' 'girly' look of this card. Why not pop over to the blog if you have time and look at the other fab entries here- maybe have a go yourself !
Thanx for taking the time to visit me and I really appreciate your comments.  Hope to see you all soon. Hugz, Jayne xxx

Lavender Tag

Good morning everyone. A gorjus sunny start to the morning here- let's hope it stays that way! Hope it's nice wherever you are.
My latest work for Splodgeaway is featured on their blog today- project 'anything but a card' Pop over to their blog and take a look at what we've all been up to here.
tomorrow sees Tom n Hazel back on create and craft so tune in to see all the DT work and some fab new masks.
Before I start I'd just like to say hello and welcome to my new followers. Thanx for joining n I hope you find some inspiration or at least enjoy seeing what I've been up to ! lol.
Back to my project. I decided to do something with fabric for a change so used some raw silk to produce this lavender bag.

I used loads of spray dyes to colour the background in conjunction with various splodgeaway masks then added the silver swirl with silver fabric paint through another splodgeaway mask. When I stamped the bird so it looked like it was sat on the silver swirl it didn't show up very well so I embroidered around the outline with metallic floss and coloured it with inktense pencil. I overstamped it all with a text stamp to add more texture. An eyelet was added with various fibres then lace and a heart charm finished it off.

I added a dot of liquid pearls as my birdie needed an eye ! lol

Hope you like my latest offering. Have a good day wherever you are n whatever you're doing. Hugz, Jayne xxxxx
